League President Elected

1 year ago By Surrey Championship

to the Surrey County Cricket Club Committee

We are delighted to announce that League President Roland Walton, one of 9 candidates for 4 vacant positions on the Surrey County Cricket Club Committee, has been successful in the recent ballot of members.

Indeed he was the second-best supported candidate (after Mark Butcher). This is a tribute to Roland’s personal standing in Surrey cricketing circles and also excellent news for the Travelbag Surrey Championship as we can rely on Roly to promote the interests of league and recreational cricket when the opportunity arises in the course of the Committee’s deliberations.

He joins the Committee as another League stalwart, Richard Laudy, stands down at the end of his 4-year term.
