All clubs with a 1st XI in the Championship are invited to enter this year’s T20 competition. Premier clubs are automatically entered but as an action, all other clubs with a Championship 1st XI are asked to please email Mark before 28th February, advising if you are entering or not. Please, could all clubs who are entering (including Premier) provide relevant details (name/email address) of your 2019 T20 contact to Mark if you haven't already created and included one on your 2019 Club Info Sheet.
As in 2018, only first round matches need to be played midweek, and should be completed before May 17th.
We will again be completing both Rounds 2 & 3 at 8 Super Monday venues across the county, and we would appreciate hearing from clubs that would like to host 3 games for one of these events. These will all be played on Bank Holiday Monday, 27th May.
The Quarter Finals need to be played between June 1st and July 12th.
Finals Day will be played on July 21st, with the venue to be announced shortly.
Please refer to the website for full playing conditions which are as per 2018.
Also, note that this year we will apply a significant fine on any club conceding within 7 days of Super Monday events to avoid planning issues for these enjoyable days. In the worst case, where a club does need to default, we will try and call up a Round One losing team instead.
2018 proved to be an enjoyable and hard-fought competition and we look forward to good participation again this year. Please note that prior participation in the competition is not required.
Different for 2019 will be the Area Finals, on July 28th, which are to be hosted by Surrey. We have in the past asked the winning club to do this, so please bear this in mind if you find yourself involved in Finals Day. We will be in touch with all 4 Finals Day Clubs nearer the date in order to explore options here.
