Saturday 29th July is Cricket United’s Blue Bails day and, once again, we are encouraging Championship clubs to sign up to this national initiative and help raise money for three cricketing charities, the Professional Cricketers Association, Chance to Shine and Lords Taverners. Clubs can now sign up for this year’s event via the Cricket United website.
As in previous years, Blue Bails Day will be held on the Saturday of the (first) Oval Test which this year will see England play South Africa. Cricket United will also be aiming to turn the Oval blue. The minimum donation required from clubs is £100 which isn’t payable until the end of August. Several clubs have used this event in the past to run social events to support the charities involved andor raise much needed funds for their own clubs.
